TRAIL DETAILS

Doc's Beach is one of the pinnacle rock climbing trails in the Vernal area, and has become well-known for its grippy sand stone surface, moon-like appearance, and some of the greatest scenery that can only be seen from this trail.  With views of the lush Dry Fork Canyon lined with huge rock cliff canyon walls. This trail visits the popular cave and "Deer Crack" attractions.

 

Experienced drivers only.

* Body damage is possible. 

* Scratches are possible.

Scenery

Pause to take in views of Dry Fork Canyon immediately to the west from Deer Crack with the Vernal Valley in the distance to the south.  

 

 

Surface

Sand stone canyons, wedges, and ledges.  Some sand and dirt hills.

Difficulty: 8, with optional obstacles 10+

Trailering info

Trailering is not required. Rides will leave from the Western Park Area to the trail head approximately 10 minutes on pavement.  See staging map here.

Rest Rooms are available at the trailhead.
