TRAIL RATINGS
Maintained road Surface. Usually paved or other hardened surfaces. Suitable for all vehicles, weather conditions and skill levels.
Constructed road, but infrequent or no maintenance. Suitable for most vehicles (high clearance vehicles recommended), most weather conditions and skill levels. Vegetation may be encroaching into the roadway. Washouts, ruts and other minor obstacles possible. Trail may become slick and or muddy in adverse weather conditions.
Mix of Constructed and “2 Track” trail. No official maintenance. Suitable for most high clearance vehicles and skill levels. Trail may have short sections that are rough, steep, and minor off camber. Vegetation encroachment in trail. Washouts, ruts, and other such obstacles can be severe. 4WD may be needed. Trail may become slick and or muddy in adverse weather conditions.

Trail may have long sections that are rough, rocky, steep, ledgy(under 12”), slick rock and off camber. Vegetation encroachment in trail. Washouts, ruts, and other such obstacles can be severe. 4WD will be needed. Trail may become slick and or muddy in adverse weather conditions.
“2 Track” trail. No maintenance. High clearance 4WD vehicles required. Traction control modifications and advanced driving skills are recommended. Trail will have long sections that are rough, rocky, steep, loose, ledgy(up to 24”), slick rock and off camber. Vegetation encroachment in trail. Washouts, ruts, and other such obstacles can be severe. Trail may become slick, muddy and or impassible in adverse weather conditions.
“2 Track” trail. High clearance 4WD modified vehicles recommended. Traction control modifications and advanced driving skills are recommended. Rocky, tight, loose, ledgy(up to 36”), slick rock and off camber, steep inclines and declines are prevalent. Trail may become slick, muddy and or impassible in adverse weather conditions. Rollovers, body damage and scratches possible.
“2 Track” trail. High clearance 4WD modified vehicles, with traction control devices recommended. Stock vehicles will have extreme difficulty navigating this trail. Advanced driving skills are required. Rocky, tight, loose, ledgy(over 36”), slick rock off camber, and steep inclines and declines are prevalent. Trail may become slick, muddy and or impassible in adverse weather conditions. Rollovers, body damage and scratches possible.
“Rock Crawling Trail." High clearance 4WD modified vehicles, with winches, oversized tires, and traction control devices required. Stock vehicles may not be able to navigate this trail. Advanced driving skills are required. Rocky, tight, loose, ledgy(over 36”), slick rock off camber, and steep inclines and declines are prevalent. Trail may become slick, muddy and or impassible in adverse weather conditions. Rollovers, body damage and scratches likely.
“Rock Crawling Trail." Lifted 4WD modified vehicles, with winches, oversized tires, and traction control devices required. Stock vehicles will not be able to navigate this trail. Advanced driving skills are required. Rocky, tight, loose, ledgy(over 48”), slick rock off camber, high exposure, and extremely steep inclines and declines are prevalent. Trail will become slick, muddy and or impassible in adverse weather conditions. Rollovers, body damage and scratches likely.
